Paranoia? Drugs? Supernatural occurrence? Regardless, you did a good job elevating and maintaining tension. One suggestion. If the last line is meant to convey capture (which is how I read it), perhaps adding a “-” would illustrate the suddenness of our apprehensive UNP’s fate.
