Yeah, before I edited it I had some cussing in it :-O I took the cussing out, but not the mature label. oopsie.

Nicely built up. I was not expecting that last line. It definitely is a good case of things going from bad to worse to oooooh crap.

I like the progression of wakefulness, the protagonist sorting out data as they receive it, to the point that they can presume a smile, albeit a foreboding one.

Very sketch situation.
