I swallowed the sun last night
It was glorious
I was glorious
Surrounded by a vibrant, incomparable halo of pure energy
I couldn’t be stopped
No one could even touch me
I ran in circles
laughing
for no reason at all
I was magnificent
But now
the sun is gone
consumed
and I’m left to sit in oppressive darkness
waiting for its inevitable return
