Is nothing an illusion?

I mean, I don’t think it’s even an illusion, it’s just fictional. ‘Nothing’ exists only in idea. There are no spaces of nothingness between anything, right? What looks like open space is really air, oxygen, gases etc. and even beyond that it seems that everything is submerged in time. So time is the great connector, and time is something, isn’t it? I guess I could be wrong but I feel strongly about this for some reason reason, ha.
