Cruise Control
Set out each morning not knowing where you are going,
put your mind in a million different places at once.
Walk past where you should have turned.
Stop when you have to, but not when you need to.
Go with the flow,
not knowing where the flow is going.
There’s a place you hadn’t planned on being,
a place you don’t belong.
Blame your feet for leading you there.
Analyze your position…
in relation to where you wanted to be…
in this place in time and space…
You had a choice.
Double back to the point in your past where you were supposed to turn,
or turn now and turn again.
You have to know where you are to know where you want to be.
Correct the course you corroded.
Cohere to that correction.
Make the right turn there and a right turn then again.
Walk until there is nothing left for you to walk to.
You will be back where you belong;
right where you need to be.
