All I Want For Christmas
In the small apartment, a tree of meager size decorated with whatever the pair of demigods could scrap together stood in the far corner, next to it the demigods themselves. The son of Erebus handed the daughter of Hades a small box poorly wrapped in beat up orange paper adorned with a blue bow. A sly grin took over his handsome features.
“Merry Christmas, Cupcake,” he said quietly as she easily pulled the wrapping off. Inside was a small black amulet with swirling purple matter in it attached to a silver chain. As the girl pulled it out of the box, Reeve shivered.
“Reeve,” breathed Sable. “This isn’t what I think it is…? Shouldn’t you be dead?”
“I have my ways, Sabie.”
The faun girl stared down at the coiling matter within the amulet, in disbelief. “But, Reeve, this is your soul!”
“I trust you,” he replied simply. Sable was going to speak, but Reeve held up a finger and snatched up the bow. He grinned and placed it on her head, giving he a minute to recover before placing his lips to hers.
