First of all, pleasant surprise to see this story returned to after 2 years. Also another quick ratchet up in intensity; appears to be they’re wiping out all the Keepers. I like how you left the process ambiguous and began with him leaving the Vault. Leaves some mystery. Only critique is that the “remain for the duration” line feels wholly unnecessary if they’re just going to shoot him anyway.
