I recently dug notes for “Closure” up out of my draft archives – I must have started writing it and forgotten about it, and I felt it was too good to pass up.

I originally had a thought that the two guards were not on the same side – one was genuinely concerned for our protagonist’s welfare, and the other had more sinister purposes. I think after multiple edits it’s not very clear.

I love the detail about the Interspiral Concord – a neat little touch!

I quite like this! It’s vivid and scary. :D
