I see no evidence for nothing. Whenever I look for it there’s always something! I think the idea of nothing was created by human denial. But that’s an essay for another time.
This is hilarious to me for some reason. The absurdity of repeating nothing so many times got me laughing. Great poem.
I agree that this is ‘much ado’ and the excellence of such, as our dear friend Jim implies, is due to its “nothingness”. Yet Mr. Winslow would have us believe that this is much ado about… ‘something’. :) Preposterous! I am an expert in nothing, I know nothing well. “Something has nothing to do with this!” That being said, I call for a debate wherein Mr. Winslow will provide evidence of ‘something’ in its absolute state. And I for my part, will without a shadow of doubt prove absolutely – nothing! :)
Ladies, gentlemen, esteemed members, and dear friends; nothing, by definition, is non-existent. It has no presence. It takes no space. It can’t be had, found, curled, or twirled. (cheesy political smile) There is no nothing. (dramatic pause) It cannot even be thought. When you think about it, the thought of nothing is a thought after all, and thoughts, my respected fellows, fall in the secure realm of SOMETHING, as I regret to so smugly, and pretentiously inform. However, I do believe Mr. Bic. I believe that he does know nothing. I believe he knows a LOT about nothing. Oh yes, he knows nothing so well he even knows he knows nothing. And, since he knows he knows nothing, well, my patient listeners, that is all I need to cry impostor! From the deepness of truth in an angel’s eyes, hear me cry balderdash! I hereby conclude that his relationship with nothing is intellectually erroneous and most direly troubling. :)
