This was a difficult challenge to execute. The idea came pretty quickly, but actually getting it to read properly is a challenge. I’m hoping that I pulled it off, and the idea comes through.

WHat is this adapted from?

It’s not adapted from anything. It is based on the idea from the movie “Stranger Than Fiction” where a guy realizes that he is a character in a novel and tries to get in contact with the writer of the novel.

My character is a cliche’d action hero who asks the author to put him on the beach with hot chicks. The author, being the cheeky fellow that he is, complies, sort of.

This is highly good – the ending has a wonderful cuteness of frustration. I approve wholeheartedly.

I took me a couple reads before I got that the brackets were the character, not the author, but once I did – ha! Excellent work, John.
