The Raconteur (Day 4)

Town to town, the traveler roams
To let everyone know of the tales,
Tales of sorrow, told in every home
The story of every person’s wails.

A story of surprise, a story of death
A story of the unaware, a story of pain
A story of intrigue, a story of no more breath
A story of quiet, a story of where blood stained.

Little did they think of what he said
Just a wanderer they thought,
That night they’d all be dead
As the story he had taught.

He goes town to town to slay them all
And he tells them how he’ll do it,
He disguises it as stories small and tall
And smiles as the town is lit.
