“The guards will escort you to the orphanage to gather the subjects. You will ensure the orphans are trusting, seeing as you have gained it from them. You are to return immediately. We begin upon your arrival. I will be waiting” Thompson snaps.
“Indeed sir. I just have to prep the lab first. I’ve had little time.”
“Make it quick.” Thompson grunts as he departs.
He quickly prepares the lab and finishes the alterations. Takes a long look at Zeus, fearing it may be his last.
“It is done Zeus. I hope this works.” He projects the words in his mind.
“It will work father, do not fret. All things come to an end. Get to the orphans and hope they can carry out the plan.” Zeus mentally speaks to him.
As the doctor turns to leave he unlocks the cage for Zeus to escape.
“I do not understand Father. You mustn’t.”
“I cannot do it Zeus. I can’t kill you. You must go and help them.”
“I will do what I can for them . But I cannot be sparred. They will hunt me endlessly. I would rather you did it Father.”
