Winding Down

It’s a relief to realize you were making a much bigger deal out of things than was intended.

The hot shower cascaded across my back, soothing the tension I held there all day. Sure, my new college classes were going to take some hours of work, some email exchanges, some calls, some observation time, but with careful planning, things would time out just fine and everything would get done.

Relax.

In a few months, this will all be a phase that I can look back on and think “How did I ever do it??

One day at a time. One step at a time.

I pulled out my calendar and sat with my two syllabi and began to map out the next 3 and a half months. Unsure how much time had passed, I stretched, unfolding my legs, straightening my spine, and loosening tight muscles. I yawned. The clock read past bedtime, but finally I could rest without worry creating monstrous dreams.

One last thing to do before bed: read a little bit and wish I had written it!
