Letting It Out (Day 26)
The car speeds down the dark highway street as the person escapes his problems.
The windows are rolled down letting the wind creek loudly. The lights from the dashboard invade the front and passenger seat. Music blasts out the stereo as the confused person sings his heart out.
Outside the temperature dips as the cold starts to take over. Sand picks up from the slight breeze as it moves like a wave. Opposing cars flash their high beams as they pass. Small animals look off from the side always confused at the speeding mechanical monsters.
Signs pass by. 402 miles left. 248 miles left. Mile 14. Mile 450.
The CD repeats over and over. He changes the CD. That one repeats. Only few times does he stop for gas.
He finally pulls over and steps out of the car. He looks around, there’s nothing for miles. The moon lights up everything brightly.
He screams. He yells. He cries. He curses.
After a few minutes of pouring out his feelings he crawls back to his car. He makes a u-turn and drives back home.
