In this short ficlet you have included a bing, bang, and an entire parade of emotions. I like the uproar in your words and how colorful you have set the scene for such a morbid challenge. The last paragraph is possibly my favourite, and the concluding sentence really tells the story of the characters life, and maybe the majority of first world citizens as well.
