When I ask people, “What’s it like to get a tattoo,” their answers are generally the same. “You’d have to be there,” or roundabout that, anyway.

Is this personal experience?

Not gonna lie, when I read this I was not expecting it to be about a tattoo. I think that the dramatization about the tattoo would be more significant if that tattoo was significant. Why is the character getting a tattoo? What does it represent? Where is it being done? I mean, this is ficly and you only have so many characters to write, so I completely understand why that wasn’t fit into this though.

Not to the extent of how much I really played it up. I just got my first tattoo this winter and I got mine on my ribs, and it did feel like my bones were vibrating but for the most part, there wasn’t too much pain, but for everyone it’s different. For my character, I just wrote it off like it was more pain.

And yeah. I mean for my first tattoo, it means like my whole outlook on life essentially and I hadn’t thought about what my character was thinking about their tattoo but it’d be great to put that as a sequel perhaps! Thanks for the ideas, LittleSecrets!

Is the tatt a butterfly or an infinity symbol ?

My tattoo is actually an infinity symbol with quotation marks around it. It has a huge meaning to me – but it’s a bit of a long philosophical story haha

Well I wasn’t too far out. The butterfly is a sign of double infinity..Start at the bottom left wing come up through to the top right then overand backdown to the left wing.Repeat on the other side….complete infinity. :)

Yeah. I mean, as you could tell from my username on the site, I’m kind of fascinated with the concept of something being infinite.
You did guess an infinity symbol though so you were dead on!
