An Attempt At Being Eloquent

A meltdown in your driveway,
away from your mother’s curious eyes.
A release of tears,
a dam breaking at
midday,
the glaciers thawing out in
the unseasonably warm air
winter has brought,
the creek in my backyard overflowing after the rain.
Our legs will be trembling,
like a hammer shattered our fragile bones
and we have not the tweezers
or the
magnifying glasses to
attempt to put them back
together again.
