My finale was a sunset
Red splashed across the sky
I was smothered with my bedclothes
Too terrified to cry

My body was dismembered
In a tub to catch the blood
Then placed beneath the floorboards
Where my heart began to thud

I drove my butcher mad
With that terrifying beat
And he tore up all the boards
Beneath his very feet

So like every other sunset
Unobtrusively it ends
My revenge forever captured
In the brushstrokes of a pen
