I liked the word, but JACK is right, the waves moved, so in its current form, doesn’t currently fit the bill, but I can think of a half dozen ways to present the same image without the movement.

That said, I really enjoyed this piece. You tantalised me with your final line. I want to know more about this world you have described.

I can’t find any examples of the “passive motion” from previous examples but I’ll rewrite regardless.

It’s more in describing the appearance of motion, as opposed to outwrite saying it moved. Your story now fits the bill, so you have a good chance at victory in this challenge.

Especially since you’re the only entrant.
