Ms. D(ealer)

Cashy softly knocked on the decrepit wooden door and peeked her head into the makeshift office. It had been a tool shed for one of the big buildings on the side of the alley but had fallen into disrepair from years of disuse. She had made a deal with the building management for her to have the shed as long as the manager could have free consultations with the Dealer. She had agreed and slowly transformed it into some semblance of an office.

“So, what did the man with the suitcase want?”

“Info. Why else does anyone call on a Dealer?”

Cashy grinned and rolled her eyes, “You know what I meant, Ms. D!”

“He wanted to know how honorable his potential buyer was. I told him he was as honest as any Rebel could be. He didn’t seem to like the answer. But really, people need to come to a Dealer like me only when it’s the hard information they’re looking for. The secrets buried ten miles into the shadows of this horrible planet. Because that’s the stuff I know.”

“True. Let’s hope the next client fits the bill.”
