so awful that
most of us need some sort of
antibiotic to
counteract the pain it causes us

information, like corn,
corrupted and twisted—
our bodies and
mental health
aren’t made to handle this

we, the cattle,
fed to an plump
and ripe age
until we can be sold off to the colleges
and filed out to our jobs
and our purpose.
