It Ends Tonight
Charlotte seemed to wince, “Maybe I just don’t want to tell you. Ever thought about that? I mean, I think you’re very nosy.”
“Very well,” I remained quiet in hopes that the silence would make her speak. It didn’t work and soon her cup was empty, “Do you want more?” I asked, desperate. Would she try to kill herself when she was all alone? I felt she had to stay here, where someone can watch every move she makes. She shook her head, “I really have to get home,” and began standing up.
“Will you be alright?” I let out of my mouth. I honestly felt that this girl was now my responsibility. So to have her kill herself would make me feel like it’s my fault, “Please don’t try anything over there,” I quietly asked. My words must have surprised her because she blushed and her eyes melted again, “Fine. But only for tonight.”
