Condemned Encyclopedia
She fingered the spines of the ancient books, walking through the deathly silent aisles with extreme caution. If you made a noise, you died. That was the first rule of the Librari.
She finally spied the book she was looking for. It was large, thick and dust-covered. It was also on a red-coded shelf. No one was allowed to touch books on the red shelves because they were considered sacred or condemned. If you did, you would be stripped of all clothes, tarred and feathered, and locked out on the roof of the 20-story building where a camera would transmit a live feed of you to every T.V. in the galaxy for a week. That was the second rule of the Librari.
She slowly stopped and read the name on the spine of the book. The Encyclopedia of the Eos Family. This was the book she had been searching the solar system for. She had to destroy it before anyone gained access to it. She owed it to every member of the Scroll Codes. Their story had to be destroyed before the Lords of Willowpeaks found that the book existed.
