I love the way the situation unfolds a bit at a time, till the real dismay comes clear at the end. Somehow this reminds me of the Richard Bachman book “The Regulators.” Tak! I wonder so much about this kid, I am finally going to do a sequel to one of your stories! Agh, the delays! :D

Oh! Also I think there’s a typo “thing layer” near the end.

Weird, weird, weird…and I like it! Bizarre scenario, and I like how her character sort of leaks through, like she’s a pretty tough cookie, especially given the situation.
