Nice scenario. A bit challenging to care for this protagonist who feels so superior, but there are more loathsome characters. Perhaps it gives him room to grow.
Why does he call the man Mr. Martin if he is clearly superior? Does Mr. Martin have some kind of status that bears noting? We must assume so, with the repeated usage of the title and name. He doesn’t command Mr. Martin to find it, however.
