Letter-Imperfect

I’m dyslexic; sometimes I mix words up. I know this, but it still bothers me when people point it out. Today tops the list, though; my computer told me I had mixed myself up.
For some reason, the words just come out wrong. Just bear with me; I’ll tell it as it happened. I was looking everywhere on the computer for a specific graphic image for a brochure I was working on for a client. I even asked my husband: “Where’s that picture of the nail-found?” He asked me what I really meant, understanding of course that I had misspoken, but though the right word was on the tip of my proverbial tongue, I could not utter it aloud, even in my mind’s ear.
I pulled up a search of the computer’s files: Search all hard drives for “Nail-Found.”
A few minutes later, the search proved futile. The computer announced this with what I pictured as a sneer of disdain: “File, not Found.”
