‘Pink’? – Advanced (alien) technological minds decide to make the device ‘pink’! – Uh, I don’t think there’ll be a problem with them aliens. As long as Macy’s coordinates the attack with their ‘one day only’ sale, we should be fine. :) Great story by-the-way.

I love all the classic touches to this – the forceful general, a smatter (but not too much) of technical speak, and the scientist with an impossible task.

I like to think that the pinkness wasn’t an aesthetic choice by the aliens, but simply how it looks to our eyes. Or maybe it was purposely made pink, but it’s their equivalent of some drab green military shade of paint…
