I wanted to say thank you
For the time that you’ve put in
For the effort that you’ve given
And the light that shines within

I never would have guessed
We’d ever come this far
From the darkness that surrounded
Each beating of our heart

I’m so glad that we have risen
From the ashes of the past
Though nothing is forgotten
Life is easier at last

No longer do we struggle
Through each and every day
We’ve found the cost of moving on
And it’s a price that we have paid
