Always and Ever Present.

Darkness. Always and ever present.

We are born in the dark. We return and surrender to the dark at the end of every day. We adventure into the darkness. We feel the magic of the dark at midnight. It relaxes us. It refreshes us. It cools us. Yet, somehow we still fear darkness.

Our children fear the dark. Afraid of monsters who can only appear after the light is no more. Creatures that overpower and consume us revel in the darkness. We fear they will come after us. That bad things happen after dark. That darkness is stronger than we are.

So we call upon the light.

To banish the darkness. To overcome our fears. To light up our world and keep the monsters at bay. (Perhaps to even vanquish them.) Our children sleep safely next to their nightlight protectors. We are safe in the light of day.

We created marvels to capture the essence of daylight to guard and guide us through the dark. To stay with us. To protect us.

Always and ever present. Light.
