Interesting idea. I don’t think I’ve seen post-apocalyptic taken so far forward that the ruins become a paradise like this. Neat perspective as well, the agreeing with the family lore, though seeing a very different setting.

His grandfather played there… so within 50 years with today’s generation’s reproduction rates, or if there was a big war causing a gap, at least within 100 and the suburbs are no more. It’s interesting to think of this being true and what could have happened.

Future? This sounds like my neighborhood. :) It feels like a modern twist to H.G. Wells Time Machine.
