A Prince's Tale #3
“Your two year exodus has finally concluded,” Miser states before the Prince disembarks.
“and as fate has foretold, you seem to stand a triumphant man!” Fesir says. The Prince, widely grinning, embraces his friends.
“It felt longer than two,” the Prince continues, “Yet, in the company of those who know me best, everything is as it should be.” They begin walking, and soon arrive at a lively local cafe. “Earlier, you claimed I appeared triumphant…but wouldn’t that imply an end to my journey? Although I have returned, I—-”
“Still have unresolved attachments?” Miser inquires. The Prince nods in quiet agreement. Contemplation rests on the table, the room quiets, shrinks. Fesir begins, “This should not come as a surprise, nor should these feelings bring trepidation. You’re still in transition,” Miser concludes, “and your journey continues. You valiantly accomplished what you set out to do, but now—-”
Finding focus the Prince says, “I must decide what my next challenge will be, and as always, commit to it.”
