“A present offered to the grieving, wrapped in yellow police tape” – nice imagery. And the story rolls on at a cracking pace; good sequeling (if indeed, that is even a word).

Very dark and a gritty continuation out of the challenge. I liked the use of festive and fun metaphors and similes throughout. That worked well.
