Yes, I am 14. I was very nervous to publish one of these pieces on this website, but I decided to go for it. Even though one might not be able to relate to the actions themselves, one might relate to the strong emotions or even crazed thoughts that this piece portrays. Thank you sooo much for the comment. It literally makes my day when I see a comment on something of mine! :)
Well I agree. it’s very dark, and I’ve fallen pretty far in the past. Sometimes though, when we write like this, instead of getting it out and gone we just feed those feelings. Sometimes that isn’t healthy. But, the writing is solid. And it conveys your feelings accurately and with great power.
Thank you very much for the comment! I understand what you mean, and I write like this quite a bit; most of the time I feel closure after writing something that has this nature. It is surprising how dark both of you think this is though, for the piece could have been much darker in my opinion. I guess I am just so used to it that it doesn’t seem as dark as it is in reality.
Perhaps it’s not the dark but the bluntness of it that is so striking. As for the closure, I feel the same and I write that way often. It’s never quite as satisfying as finishing a writing and realizing you’ve made something truly beautiful.
Well, explicit violence isn’t really my cup of tea, but that aside, I can see that there is real talent here. I’m intrigued by what your range might be: looking back at your other pieces, I’m pretty sure that we’re only seeing a small part of it at the moment.
Part of the shock comes from a lack of what brought Scarlet’s killer to that point.
While never a fan of brutality, I must admit you portrayed it realistically and well. I think thoughts like these flit through our minds more often than we want to admit – passing rage, or jealousy that we do not accept as part of our psyche.
These thoughts are most certainly there more than we would like to admit, yet they are inevitable. I suppose those that do admit it in some way or another are better off than those that do not.
