Lots of mystery, and the international feel works nicely for your world-spanning mystery. Did you mean ‘college’ for ‘collage’, and I didn’t get the use of ellipses in the last line. Overall, a nice, aristocratic, stuffy tone that works well for the piece and to establish the characters.
