Maybe I'm Actually A Flower
Flowers are interesting. They’re so delicate and yet strong. They thrive in rain or heat or sun or wind. But one thing they can’t really seem to withstand is us brutish humans.
The flower may have thorns and it may grow in the middle of a large bush or just reaching up to the sky on a little corner of land somewhere. But then some stupid human comes along, and the flower catches his eye.
“Ooh. So pretty!” He thinks.
And so he stoops down and stares at it for a little bit, maybe trying to see if the flower has a smell or is dangerous to touch. But then he just shrugs and decides to the flower and take it home. And so, he grabs the stem and yanks it out of the ground or perhaps cuts it to bring it home. And that’s when the flower begins to die.
Then he sticks it in a pretty glass of water to make its death slower just so he can enjoy the beauty in his home.
And the flower begins fading and eventually wilts and dies from being too pretty and catching someone’s eye. The flower shouldn’t have been so pretty.
