I’m not sure that romance is the right word here. I think I’d go with “love” or “affair” or some other word with a stronger connotation than “romance.” A dying romance doesn’t sound quite as tragic as a dying love.

I really like to imagine the roses being the centerpieces at a wedding to give it even deeper meaning. But I’m kind of a downer like that.

Personally I liked the word “romance.” The six words hint at a larger story while still having impact. Well done.
