Great metaphor to write about the end of a relationship. It reads well, the filler colour ( short pause whilst the spell check says my English spelling is wrong) is an interesting concept. The only suggestion I might make is to go look at a current list of paints artists use which have some wonderful names which might just up the metaphor to another level. Names such as Buff Titanium, Naples Yellow, Yellow Ochre, Burnt Sienna..which all could be ‘filler’ colours. Think I’m just saying this is a great piece of writing and could be taken to another level if you perhaps throw yourself into the metaphor more fully and used the actual names of paints artists use.

Excellent use of the color metaphor to describe a situation in life and the way differently your view can change on things. Loved the idea of the filler colors and what that represented, both for her and about her.
