Ruthless. The chronology is a little hard to follow in places, so I’m not 100% sure I understand exactly what happened here, but my own imagination fills in enough gaps to provide plenty of shock value all on its own.

Jim- The chronology is meant to be somewhat unclear but I would agree that it got away from me a little. Something to work on!

Hm, you know what? I was reading this under the parameters specified in the challenge — two entities, one body. If you read it as two entities, two bodies (i.e. two people meeting serendipitously, one with murder on her mind), it makes a lot more sense. I’m not sure which way you intended to write it, but adjusting my own perspective fixes a lot of the perceived problems I noticed.
