Turn-Tail meets Truth
Turn-Tail hates to run away
Still he does so, every day
This is how he earned his name
Day and night, it’s just the same
Turn-Tail runs from what he fears
He’s been running all these years
Anxious worry, stress and pain
Here they come – he’s gone again
Turn-Tail knows there’s something more
He’s heard tell of it before
Good things that bring calm and peace
If only all the bad would cease
Turn-Tail ran, but Truth caught up
Held him close just like a pup
Told him there was more to life
Calm for worry, peace for strife
Turn-Tail heard, his eyes grew wide
With Truth there’s nothing you can hide
Turn-Tail tried to run away
But Truth had come and meant to stay
Truth took Turn-Tail by the scruff
Held him up and said, Enough,
You’ve run away for far too long
I’ve come to help you right your wrong
Turn-Tail stopped and wept, ashamed
Not knowing he could be unnamed
He thought that Truth would bring him pain
And this was true, but far too plain
