Tad: Please find an open mic night in your area, this (and pt 1) is some of the best spoken word material I’ve read in some time. Yes, shout it out in front of a crowd. You need this.
32, Thank you. You’ve been a positive supporter of my poems for a long time. It means a lot to me. I promise you I’ll find a mic night somewhere and read this… passionately :)
Has a nice flow to it, though I followed your directions in the first comment and wound up with a sore throat. I wound up ranting it roughly to the tune of that REM song about the end of the world as we know it. Fun, fun.
This poem was incredibly moving, both flow and emotionally. Something about the continuous motion of it makes me so emotional. I am incredibly intrigued by free verse poetry—it’s one of my favorite things to read and write, personally. Part 1 & 2 both have spurts of intense and subtle energy, which is incredibly captivating. Really well done, perhaps one of my favorite pieces I’ve read on Ficly. Actually, I’ll be bookmarking this one. :)
