Bizarre, bizarre, bizarre, but still has a home-y sort of feel to it. I found the rock and the scissors easily enough. The paper was obvious but so casually thrown in with the snack I overlooked it on the first read.
I used to be against entering my own challenges, but now I rather like it. It sets a standard, even if for no other reason than to give the participants a standard to defy or vary from.
Lovely bit of story and could stand on its own as an intriguing beginning to an epic tale aside from the challenge.
