So it’s 4:30 a.m. and I searched. Oh well, history is not to be ignored. So many pictures taken of these atrocities mean only one thing to me, these people believe in what they were doing. They were so confident in memorializing this, thinking history would be on their side.

I like how you wrote this. It’s broad enough that we know this scene has happened more than once. It’s non fiction really, just without names.

This was very painful. Just like 1024 said, non fiction without names (or places or years). History nevertheless, and the present as well.
