Interesting insight into the mind of the illusionist: a slightly pathological way of thinking. I really like the personification of objects (paragraph 2, in particular, is great) and the doubt that permeates the piece.
As for 32’s comment – I can only applaud, and agree.
Wow. Nice look into Harry’s mind. As a spectator, I often wonder what goes through someone’s mind at a time like that. Are they thinking of the next step, delaying for effect, or wondering what everyone else is thinking?
I agree with JonB about how you personified the tools, though I liked the thought he had to the cuffs more.
