(extra ‘will’ in last line) Um.. I feel like I should put your diary back under your mattress with the magazines now.. :) ha. This is very real and yet naked, like the pictures of ‘real women’ that claim to be un-photoshopped, still beautiful, and still brazen.
Emotional, free verse poetry is my favorite way to express myself. Whether through personal experiences or characters I make up in my head, it seems the most natural and fluent of the writing styles for me, personally. It has no chains to bind me—I feel freest this way.
Sort of depressing and uplifting at the same time. I like the idea of hoping for a love that can see past a body’s imperfections and appreciate the soul within.
I appreciate the tangible word choices while discussing an intangible subject. Free verse is versatile in ways that elude me. It almost seems like a collection of phrases that increase in significance when put together.
