Ok now we have something. I had been fretting tying our faceless, authorless antagonist to anyone, but we needed it.

Maryanne Stone was with Vincent Otellio, the owner of the Topaz. He is the rich guy mentioned in the first installment.

Ah, so she’s that kind of dame, eh? I new she was trouble. Great feel to this piece.

You’ve successfully convinced me that this is taking place in 1920s Chicago, through the mood and dialog. Good job.

Love this depiction of Otellio struggling with the toxic combination of hangover + wounded pride. And some needed filling in of background details as well. Nicely done.

This incident turns out to be the crux of the story, for me anyway. Memories effectively replayed thru a filter of regret.

Very nice job by Pablo building up to this scene originally set up by the inestimable Mr. West. I continue to be amazed at the results of cooperative story creation on this epic.
