The journey away from Earth is lovely, panoramic stuff. I’m also a fan of belligerent technology in sci-fi, so appreciate the surprise when the shuttle decides to be magnanimous and let him use the cameras. Must be in a good mood.

It’s all happiness and smiles until there’s a hostile agent in the system, for sure.

I like it. Not a ton of action or anything but very nicely lays out some exposition from your character’s point of view. It also sets a bit of a mood and tone, along with showing some of his resourcefulness along the way.
