After reading the name, I had to know more. I was not let down.

I’m intrigued by the idea that Merlin, if it’s the same I think it is, would be in, what I’m assuming to be, modern Seattle.

Being a sucker for magic, I really enjoyed this, and look forward to more.

I enjoyed the description of colors and the limitations placed on them. I immediately want to know what happened to wound him, and whether it was his sister that did, and all of the information pertaining to that. It doesn’t seem like he is overly worried about being wounded and chased, so I’m assuming Merlin is feeling confident still about his business and has a plan of some sort.

Sister trouble, huh? A strong opening – the first paragraph is pleasingly visual, and the rest is nice scene-setting.
