Lol, I could see this being right at home in Monty Python’s Flying Circus!
I found this REALLY amusing, actually! haha the format is very interesting as well. And the dialogue is very realistic (and comical)!
Great dialogue. Like Tad said, interesting format too. Welcome to Ficly!

Oh—also meant to say, remember punctuation and using the right “your” or “you’re”. Not a huge deal, but it’s nice to see on a writing site.
Thanks for the commments everyone. Corrected the your/ you’re, thanks for the pointer. Often when I write dialogue like this punctuation gets lost!
Silly and does have that Monty Python feel. Not a big fan of the numbers, but I guess it does save you on the character count.
This is rather fun and nicely surreal. It would have made a nice entry into my Dialogue challenge, too. I like the repetition, too. As others have said, it has that Monty Python feel, but I’d also propose a Waiting for Godot-esque feel to it, too. Welcome to ficly. I get the feeling you’ll fit right in. :-)

Thanks dkscully, really chuffed you got the Beckettian reference!
very Beckett… and kinda sinister with the son as The Elephant in the Room. Now that I think about it, that gives me an idea…
