Very nicely done. Solidly written and well paced – an effective compliment to the previous installment. The style is more straight mythology and less sci-fi than the previous, but I expect that those other elements will reemerge in future installments. I enjoyed reading this.

I liked the line, “…- if so he was -…” Seemed like it fit perfectly. Great mood and ambiance here as well as a killer ending line for your protagonist to utter.

I like this a lot. I agree with THX, the last paragraph is just great. Thanks for the sequel!
