Hmm… I was sure that Otellio had arranged for that table. Looks like Fabrizio has some motivations of his own.
So, we’ve got two main plot lines running through the story at the moment. Beretta/Stone/Otellio is active, but Otellio/DiSibio looks like it has better potential for involving everyone.
I’m feeling a bit sorry for Lambone and Tugger sitting over at the bar, both too broke to get well and truly plastered. One thing that I know will happen eventually is that the band will be taking a 10 minute break, during which time the chanteuse is going to wander over to the bar. If nothing happens over there in the meantime, she might be worth chatting up. I’m jes’ sayin’.
Although I am not in charge of Lambone or Tugger, they are just waiting in the wings providing cover for adding to the action. It really is about the authors right?
DiSibio is the match to the powder here, as he should be. These players, Baretta, Stone and the rest are smalltime, even Otellio yields the floor.
Everything has to make sense to Mr. D. or the excrement will encounter the oscillator
Well, life’s still a cabaret, right? Even with an empty wallet and a hole in your shoe. Lambone and Tugger are fine just waiting in the wings – it can only be a matter of time before solidarity breaks out among those paupers hanging round the bar.
It feels like Fabrizio might be the real power behind the throne at the Topaz…
Interesting piece. You’ve got a few typos that could use cleaning up. Was the last line to suggest that Mr. D.’s identity is a mystery to Vicenzo or is he bouncing back to thinking about Maryanne and her date?
